Abstract: Photos usually made up of lines, shapes, values, and textures. Typically taken very close to the subject to show more texture. Medium/Detail Shot: Rather than such a wide shot like grand landscapes, these are meant to make you feel more welcome and comfortable. Best shot in cloudy and overcast conditions. They are shot with a normal lens and use more depth of field the closer you are to your subject. Grand Landscape: Wide shots with a maximum depth of field. They are meant to give you a large view of the outdoors. They are shot with wide lens.

Joe Cornish tips

 1. Spend time with your subject. You can do this by exploring and looking around from different angles. 2. Be out any opportunity you have. You won't get any good photos if you're not out so no matter the weather or other conditions, go out.
