7 Elements of Art

 

Color

Color is reflected light. It has 3 qualities; hue, saturation, and value.
Texture

Texture engages the sense of touch. It is the way something feels or how it looks like it feels.
Form

Form means something has volume and is 3 dimensional.
Shape

Shape is an area enclosed by an outline.
Space

Space is a 3-dimensional illusion of depth.
Line

A line is a point moving in space.
Value


Value is the lightness or darkness of an image.

Abstract: Photos usually made up of lines, shapes, values, and textures. Typically taken very close to the subject to show more texture. Medium/Detail Shot: Rather than such a wide shot like grand landscapes, these are meant to make you feel more welcome and comfortable. Best shot in cloudy and overcast conditions. They are shot with a normal lens and use more depth of field the closer you are to your subject. Grand Landscape: Wide shots with a maximum depth of field. Water Photos

  My group is me and Jake Water droplet with flash: It was pretty easy to get a good shot with good timing. I liked how the flash made the water bead look. Color water droplet without flash: It was harder to get a good shot on this one. I didn't like how some of the photos were coming out too dark. Water droplet with flash: It was pretty easy to get a good shot on this. I liked how the flash made the finished photo look. Colored Water Clouds: It was really easy to get a good shot. We chose to use a lot of different colors. I liked how the lighting was without the flash. We were always on task
